Work set to start on road safety project

WORK is set to begin soon on a road safety scheme at a prominent junction in Prestatyn following concerns over a pattern of crashes.
Denbighshire County Council and North Wales Police identified the need for intervention at the junction of Bastion Road, Bridge Road, Station Road and Sandy Lane to protect both motorists and pedestrians following a “concerning pattern of collisions”.
A Denbighshire County Council statement added: “Denbighshire County Council secured £120,000 of grant funding from the Welsh Government's road safety capital grant to complete the works. This grant funding is ringfenced and cannot be used on other projects.
