School hit by blaze to be closed for rest of week

A SCHOOL which was hit by a blaze will be closed for the rest of the week. Multiple fire engines fought the blaze at St Martins, in Oswestry, when it broke out on Sunday at about 5.15pm.

In an update, head teacher Alison Pope, who is in her first term at the school, detailed the areas that had been damaged and what happens next.

She said: "I have been on the school site all day and met with the insurance loss adjuster.
