DRIVERS in North Wales face some of the most demanding winter road conditions anywhere in the UK, according to new analysis.

Two passes in Eryri (Snowdonia) have been rated among the trickiest to navigate due to their exposure and gradients.
A study by Indigo Car Hire analysed weather exposure, terrain severity, accident risk and driver support. This found that Bwlch-y-Groes and Llanberis Pass ranked as two of the three most challenging winter roads in Britain.
