Prominent resort hotel closes because of rising costs and cancellations

A PROMINENT Llandudno hotel has closed due to rising costs and cancellations.

The Marlborough Hotel site near the seafront dates back over a century.

The 40-bedroom hotel was bought by Jean Murphy and her late husband John for £1.3m back in 2007.

But the owner has announced the hotel is closing - with staff told yesterday morning.
