Kieffer Moore has admitted a good night's sleep is the only reward he really wanted after scoring a “perfect” hat-trick for Wrexham.

The Wales international struck three times in 23 second-half minutes as the Red Dragons came from behind to beat Championship leaders Coventry City 3-2 on Friday night. The result saw Frank Lampard’s side's unbeaten start to the season come to an end as Moore initially found the net with his right foot, then with his head, followed by a fine left-footed effort.

The 33-year-old striker, who joined Wrexham from Sheffield United for a fee of £2million during the summer, took home the match ball and was also named man of the match. However, when asked how he would celebrate in his post-game press conference, Moore said a decent nap was about the sum of his ambitions after opening up on the tribulations of fatherhood.
