Llyn Gwynant Campsite sits at the head of the beautiful lake it is named after.

It is also in the shadow of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) right in the centre of Eryri National Park.

Given its location and good reputation it is a hugely popular site.

But the owners want to make changes to improve the offer to visitors as well as making it safer to walk around.

There are a number of elements to the application submitted to planners at Eryri National Park Authority.

The first part is about safety on the site.

A planning statement said: "The application is to realign the track onto the camping fields so that it passes behind, not in front of, our Cegin food outlets in order to ensure customer safety.
