NORTH Wales former Love Island winner Amber Davies is set to join the star-studded lineup of Strictly Come Dancing, stepping in for Dani Dyer.

The actor, podcaster, television personality, and West End sensation is gearing up for her first twirl on the dancefloor during the series' inaugural live show tonight, partnering with Nikita Kuzmin.

Amber, from Denbigh, first captured the public's heart as the triumphant winner of Love Island in 2017 alongside then-partner Kem Cetinay.

Speaking about her new venture into ballroom dancing, Amber expressed: "This has been the craziest 24 hours of my life."

She continued, sharing her longstanding connection with the show: "I've watched Strictly with my family since I was younger and to now be part of the show is a dream come true."
