New system can remove barrier to beach parking

The beach car park for Traeth Llanddwn, in Newborough Forest, often fills quickly in the summer, with queuing traffic causing congestion in Newborough villages and other communities on access routes.

NEXT month will see a major change to parking at an iconic Welsh beach.

Traffic issues have been a recurring problem over the spring and summer at Newborough Forest and Traeth Llanddwyn on Anglesey.

It has caused a headache for residents in the village as well being problematic for visitors to the beauty spot. People have complained that the problems are compounded by a barrier payment system on a narrow road leading to the beach.
