Man armed with hammer assaulted his ex-partner

A HAMMER-WIELDING man assaulted his former partner and threatened to kill a man he found in her flat.

Prosecuting, Emmalyne Dowling, told Caernarfon Crown Court, a resident in the flats heard banging coming from the victim's flat and shouting was heard that sounded like "let me in, let me in. I know he's in there, with you," followed by shouts for help.

The resident went to investigate and saw Julian Treadwell grabbing a male and pinning him down as the victim shouted.

Police attended, but neither the male or the victim provided any statements of complaint. They did not want to support the prosecution, the court heard. Her injuries were found to be minor.
