Garner still on a yellow tightrope

JAMES GARNER will once again be available for David Moyes after the midfielder avoided a booking against Arsenal.

The 24-year-old, who has been one of the Blues’ most impressive players this season, has been on four yellow cards since the home defeat to Tottenham in October.

A fifth will see him handed a one-match suspension that would hinder Moyes’ attempts to navigate a selection crisis.

Having avoided a yellow at the weekend, Garner is available for Saturday's trip to Burnley.

If he can get through that match and the following game at Nottingham Forest without disciplinary action then the threat of imminent suspension would lift, with a ban then only coming into effect after 10 matches once Everton hit the second half of the season.
