Gang who made £2m must repay just £572

In January, seven gang members were jailed for a total of 30 years as part of a plot to flood North Wales with cocaine, heroin and ketamine from Merseyside.

Anthony Howey, 41, from Liverpool, led the organised crime group.

Another gang member, Rhys Jones, 26, led the Wrexham operation from his prison cell at HMP Berwyn.

Howey was caught in Kirkby on Merseyside after officers tried to box in his car, with three police cars badly damaged in the process.

Yesterday, a Proceeds of Crime Act hearing was held to see how much members of the gang could pay back.

The sums are tiny compared with the money they made, Mold Crown Court heard.
