Dragons linked with move for Cardiff defender

WREXHAM are reported to be exploring the possibility of signing Cardiff City captain Calum Chambers as Phil Parkinson looks to further strengthen his squad.

The Dragons have been busy in the transfer market this summer, recruiting eight new players following their promotion from League One, including former Cardiff star Kieffer Moore.

Another of those additions was centre-back Conor Coady, who joined from Leicester City earlier this month to bolster Wrexham’s backline.

But Parkinson is said to be keen on bringing in at least one more defender before the transfer window closes, with a number of targets still under consideration.

Wrexham have been linked with Sheffield United’s Jack Robinson, while Bournemouth and Wales international Chris Mepham is also on the radar.
