Police have launched new operation to tackle problem

A HIGH-powered electric bike ridden by a balaclava-wearing man was seized by police on a Denbighshire seafront.

The rider, wearing dark clothing to conceal his identity, was seen weaving at speed between families enjoying the coastline.

The super slim Sur-Ron bike was spotted by North Wales Police (NWP) officers on Prestatyn Promenade on Saturday afternoon, September 6, at 4pm.

As its rider matched the description of individuals linked to local drug activity, he was lawfully searched.

Sur-Ron electric bikes are renowned for being very agile and capable of darting through traffic.
