'Creepy' figure giving drivers 'goosebumps'
Daily Post
|November 22, 2025
A mystery figure who has been spotted standing motionless on a Gwynedd roadside has left drivers feeling deeply unnerved.
Multiple sightings have been made of the eerie figure, whose head turns slowly as motorists drive past.
People say they have seen the “creepy” figure out in all weathers, usually at night. The figure is said to stand rooted to the same spot for hours, prompting speculation it might be a spooky scarecrow.
A spate of sightings were reported recently after a video was shared on social media. Drivers using the A497 have since said they get “goose bumps” whenever passing the spot near Haven's Hafan y Mor Holiday Park close to Pwllheli on the Llyn Peninsula.
One reported sighting dates back to May 20. Officers from North Wales Police (NWP) have been called out at least once this month - but the sightings have continued. The figure is reportedly a man who “loves watching traffic at night.”
While some people have urged drivers to stop to check the man's welfare, others have urged caution.
