Controversial wind turbine and solar scheme withdrawn

AN ENERGY company has withdrawn its proposed wind farm and solar scheme in the Conwy countryside.
Windjen Power Ltd had submitted a scoping application to the Welsh Government for a site located near the villages of Llanelian and Bryn-y-Maen.
Under the indicative proposal there would have been six wind turbines with an installed capacity of 4.26 MW each. The maximum height of the turbine blades would have been 150m.
