Cause of woman's tragic death in Australia confirmed

THE mum of a former North Wales woman found dead outside her apartment block in Australia thanked the generosity of the public for ensuring her daughter could be laid to rest at home.

Amanda Blake, 38, who had suffered with mental health problems, was found beneath a balcony of her home in a suburb of Sydney on September 25, 2022.

Originally from Hawarden, in Flintshire, she had been living in Australia since 2011 where she worked in the hospitality industry, an inquest in Ruthin, Denbighshire, heard today.

Amanda kept in regular touch with her family but she did not disclose the extent of her mental health condition, the hearing was told.
