An eyewitness filmed clouds of dust billowing from part of Dinorwig Quarry following the reported slippage yesterday.
Dinorwig Quarry (Chwarel Dinorig) towers over Llyn Peris and Llyn Padarn near Llanberis. It was once the second largest slate quarry in the world. The eyewitness said they heard a “massive bang” They said: “At 9.40 I heard a massive bang and rumbles.
