KZN clubs brace for demanding Nedbank Cup round of 32 assignments

AMAZULU are among KwaZulu-Natal's representatives hoping to mount a deep Nedbank Cup run as the province's sides face demanding Round of 32 assignments.

KwaZulu-Natal’s heavyweights will once again be eager to break new ground, with the province still searching for another club to lift the prestigious trophy.

Golden Arrows (MTN8 winners) and AmaZulu (formerly Coca-Cola Cup, now Carling Knockout champions) remain the only KZN sides to have tasted silverware in the top flight. This season’s draw has offered no favours, with all provincial representatives handed daunting assignments against Betway Premiership opposition.

Defending champions Kaizer Chiefs will officially begin their title defence, while the likes of AmaZulu and Durban City have enjoyed relatively strong league campaigns and will be looking to build on their positive start to the season, with both currently positioned inside the top eight.
