Investigation launched after couple's New Year's Day murder

SOUTH COAST
POLICE in KwaZulu-Natal have yet to establish the motive behind the murder of a couple found dead inside their holiday accommodation unit on the South Coast on New Year's Day.
One of the victims has been identified as Sarbhera Amod, a 38-year-old member of the Democratic Alliance (DA) from Mpumalanga. She was staying with her partner, whose identity has not yet been disclosed. Both were discovered with gunshot wounds inside their holiday unit in Margate.
Provincial police spokesperson Colonel Paul Magwaza confirmed that the deaths have triggered a full investigation into the circumstances surrounding the double murder.
