GR Cup thrills and spills at Zwartkops this weekend

AFTER three rounds the Toyota Gazoo GR Cup Challenge moves to its “home” base at Zwartkops Raceway, Pretoria, for the fourth installment of the National Extreme Festival this weekend.

It’s been almost six weeks since we first set eyes on our new GR Yaris’ with its slick eight-speed Direct Automatic Transmission (DAT) at the Aldo Scribante Circuit in Gqeberha, and I must say, I’ve missed being behind the wheel of the pink-liveried #60, affectionately dubbed Tinkerbell by the rest of the Media Challenge racers.

Zwartkops is also the headquarters of Toyota Gazoo Racing South Africa (TGRSA) which brings with it the added pressure of performing in front of some of their executives, VIP guests, friends and family.

As we head into the week end I’m a lot less nervous than I was at the beginning of the season.
