Pope played puzzle with brother and watched Conclave movie before vote

POPE Leo XIV played Wordle and watched the movie Conclave before he was elected, his brother revealed yesterday.

The new pontiff got straight down to work yesterday after Thursday's announcement, holding mass in the Sistine Chapel.

Back in his home state of Illinois, his brother John Prevost lifted the lid on how the first ever American Pope prepared for the vote.

John revealed his younger brother had watched the 2024 thriller Conclave, starring Ralph Fiennes and Stanley Tucci, just before the real conclave began on Wednesday in the Vatican.

He told reporters: "I said: 'Did you watch the movie Conclave so you know how to behave?' And he had just finished watching it." John added the pair also played online word games Wordle and Words With Friends together before the yote began.
