Kiwi hitman insists season can be joy story for big-spending Reds

- BY ROSS HEPPENSTALL

CHRIS WOOD reckons Nottingham Forest can reach for the stars after yesterday taking their spending this summer past £150million.

Wood grabbed a brace as Nuno Espirito Santo's men opened their Premier League campaign with an emphatic 3-1 home win over Brentford on Sunday afternoon.

Debutant Dan Ndoye also got on the scoresheet while James McAtee and Omari Hutchinson were both paraded on the pitch before kickoff.

Forest signed French striker Arnaud Kalimuendo from Rennes for £26m yesterday and also want to add Douglas Luiz, who is keen on a return to England from Juventus.

Wood said: "McAtee and Hutchinson are two great signings and, who knows, there might be a few more.
