Fresh plea for NHS dental fix

AFTER people queued for hours to register with an NHS dentist, the profession warned: “We are yet to see the change we need.”

Some 150 hopefuls turned up early at Lodge Causeway Dental Centre in Bristol on Saturday, after it said it was taking on new NHS patients.

It was a disturbing repeat of scenes from before the general election when police were called to another Bristol practice to control desperate crowds waiting to register. Eddie Crouch, chairman of the British Dental Association, said: “The return of these lengthy queues is hardly unexpected. We've heard the right promises but we are yet to see the change we need to give NHS dentistry a future.
