War fuelling panic over price of petrol
Daily Mirror UK
|March 06, 2026
The high cost of oil, triggered by the conflict in the Middle East, has raised the possibility of increasing fuel prices with spikes already reported at petrol pumps and warnings of worse to come. You say...
JUST as we were getting back to something like normal with our energy bills, Trump has to start another war in the Middle East.
With Iran closing the Strait of Hormuz, blocking all shipping loaded with gas and oil, this will almost certainly put up prices of these commodities.
The only winners in this conflict will be energy companies and firms supplying arms to America and Israel.
And I wonder if many American politicians are shareholders in these companies? They will certainly come out on top.
