Sheeraz has it all on line with Edgar

HAMZAH SHEERAZ is only 25 so to say his fight with Edgar Berlanga is make or break is perhaps premature. Nevertheless he has plenty to prove after his controversial draw with Carlos Adames.

No one can understand how he escaped defeat. One judge had it 118-110 in favour of Adames. Another saw it even and a third gave it to Sheeraz by a point.

I was stunned. I thought he clearly lost the fight. But this in many ways is the story of boxing. I have seen it so many times, and it has left Sheeraz with ground to make up in the eyes of many.

He is at least helped by moving up to super-middleweight to take on Berlanga. At 6ft 3ins I don't know how he ever made middleweight, let alone light-middleweight, where he spent much of his early career.
