Sunak won't rule out cuts to pay for defence spending
RISHI Sunak has said prioritising Britain's defence is "the right thing to do" as he avoided ruling out making cuts beyond the civil service.
The Prime Minister is raising defence spending to £87billion a year, or 2.5% of national output, by 2030.
But he claimed the move would not derail his ability to continue to invest in public services and slash taxes.
