Rani & dad: Hotel staff said we're 'refugees'

BBC presenter Anita Rani and her dad were mistaken for refugees while filming Celebrity Race Across the World in Central America.

The pair were trying to cross borders as they travelled across Mexico and Belize into Guatemala.

Anita's dad Bal Singh Nazran says hotel staff thought they were refugees because they kept asking for directions.

Bal, from Bradford, West Yorks, said: "We were filming in a hotel in Mexico and the owners thought we were refugees.
