Probe after 16 fatalities in Lisbon's tram crash

POLICE stand next to the overturned Gloria funicular tram that crashed in Lisbon, killing 16.
A further 21 were injured when it careened downhill and struck a building at about 6.15pm on Wednesday.
Passengers from at least 10 countries are believed to have died, including three charity workers. A German husband was killed and his wife was seriously injured. Their three-year-old child was rescued.
