NHS video link to specialists 9 common issues to be seen

SPECIALIST care for prostate, menopause or eyesight problems will be available via new NHS Online hospitals from next year.

Following GP referrals, patients will be able to chat to specialists through a video consultation using the NHS app.

It is aimed at speeding up access to specialist care, cutting waiting lists and avoiding unnecessary trips to hospital.

Last night the NHS announced nine common conditions will be the first to be treated. Among them are women’s health issues, including severe menopause symptoms and menstrual problems that can be a sign of endometriosis or fibroids.
