Sir Alan: Compo system is kangaroo court

POST Office scandal hero Sir Alan Bates has been offered less than half his compensation claim and told to “take it or leave it".

Sir Alan, who has led a 20-year campaign for justice for sub postmasters wrongly accused of fraud due to the faulty Horizon IT system, slammed the government over its compensation schemes.

And he added that sub-postmasters are being asked to provide evidence they do not possess because their claims date back years.
