Partial eclipse brings 'blood moon' to UK
A BLOOD moon hovers above skyscrapers as early risers saw red during a partial eclipse just before dawn yesterday.
The lunar marvel is created when the moon moves into the Earth's shadow, gradually darkening before turning red.
It was spotted above office blocks in Canary Wharf, East London at around 5.30am and became most visible just before 6.30am.
