Soldier, 19, found dead after being 'bombarded by possessive boss

A TEEN soldier thought to have killed herself at an Army camp was bombarded with texts from her "possessive and psychotic" superior, an inquest has heard.

Royal Artillery Gunner Jaysley Beck, 19, feared that Bombardier Ryan Mason had hacked her phone, the hearing was told.

Bdr Mason, named for the first time yesterday, would tell her "you're amazing Jaysley" and "I do love you".

Gnr Beck, who joined the Army at 16, was found dead at Larkhill Camp, Wilts, on December 15, 2021. The inquest heard Bdr Mason sent her 3,600 messages that November.

Gnr Beck's mother, Leighann McCready, said that her daughter had supported Bdr Mason with his mental health but he began overstepping the mark and she became scared of him.
