Third of over-60 people say web makes life hard

- GRAHAM HISCOTT

Interarghnet

MILLIONS of older people are convinced the rapid shift to online services penalises them.

A report found many complain at being forced to use the internet for everything from booking a GP appointment to banking.

It can leave them frustrated, reliant on friends and family or not able to access services at all.

The report, by the charity Age UK, also found nearly a third of over-60s say life is much harder than it was five years ago because so many things are online now.
