Hundreds protest at immigrant barracks

HUNDREDS of people marched through a town yesterday in the latest protest over asylum seekers being moved into a military base nearby.

The demonstrators gathered at the gates of the Army barracks at 10am before walking to the centre of Crowborough.

Waving Union and England flags, they chanted “Keir Starmer's a traitor” as police officers looked on.

No one was arrested, said the East Sussex force, which reported three arrests at a similar protest on Saturday.
