Hellish run but United hit £666m

MANCHESTER UNITED bosses will continue to consider cutting costs - despite announcing record financial results.

United have achieved a record high financial revenue of £666.5million relating to the last 12 months.

The figures come despite the Red Devils enduring a miserable season on the pitch, which saw them fail to win silverware and finish 15th in the Premier League table under Ruben Amorim.

It was the club's lowest placing since 1974, when United were relegated from the top flight.
