ENGLAND CAPTAIN BROOK'S, ER, MAGIC FÓRMULA AFTER BRUTAL BASHING BY BOKS

- BY NEIL SQUIRES

Go out there and bang it, score as many runs as possible, then take quick wickets. Simple as that

ENGLAND captain Harry Brook is refusing to press the panic button - despite the Metro Bank ODI series against South Africa being on the line at Lord's today.

The humbling at Headingley, which saw South Africa romp home with 175 balls and seven wickets to spare, has backed England and their inexperienced white-ball skipper into a corner.

Brook's response, after England were bowled out for just 131, is to urge his side to double down on their attacking approach - but just do it better.

"We're a good enough side to just go out there and play the way we have," Brook said. "The more positive you are and aggressive you are as a batter, sometimes you get away with more stuff.
