Gaza blockade shames Israel

I AM shocked Israel blocked the delivery of food, fuel and electricity into Gaza knowing two million people would be affected.

It is clearly a blatant breach of international law.

With negotiations with Hamas in a very fragile state, all Israel has done is inflame the situation and made discussions even more difficult and hostile.

Denying people basic humanitarian supplies is truly horrific. People will suffer and many more lives will be lost.

I cannot see a solution to this situation, I can only see things deteriorating at an alarming rate.

The availability of drinking water is a basic human need and to do something to stop civilians from having access to it is inhumane.

Leonard Edmondson Trowbridge, Wilts

With the world concentrating on Donald Trump's betrayal of Ukraine, the focus has moved away from the Middle East where Netanyahu is now starving civilians and turning off the electricity in Gaza.

Netanyahu and Trump have also dismissed the sensible plan to reconstruct Gaza put forward by Arab nations and supported by Britain and Europe.

Britain needs to condemn Israel's crimes against humanity and the insane ideas that Trump has dreamed up for Gaza.
