Third of 16-24s virgins, with almost a half feeling insecure about their bod

SEX is losing its allure for young people, with more than a third of 16-24s still virgins.

A survey showed 36% in the age group are sexually inexperienced.

By contrast, a 2006 survey found only 4% of under-24s were virgins.

And the most common reason for young women abstaining today is "feeling insecure about my body" - cited by 44%.
