Cops not on the case in Miss Marple village

IN a twist even Agatha Christie could not have written, the picturesque village used as the setting for the Miss Marple TV series has one of the highest rates of unsolved burglaries.

Not one of 98 break-ins recorded in Nether Wallop, Hants, last year led to the thief being caught, crime figures show.

The BBC filmed the series in the area in the 80s and 90s, with Joan Hickson as the canny amateur sleuth.
