Mbeumo says intense but fun training under Ruben is key to changing United's fortunes

- BY DAVID MCDONNELL

BRYAN MBEUMO believes Ruben Amorim's “intense” training sessions and the huge demands he puts on his players can ultimately lead Manchester United back to the top.

Mbeumo, a £71million summer signing from Brentford, has made an immediate impact for United, scoring twice and winning their Player of the Month award for August.

He has started every Premier League game and is set to keep that run going when he returns to his former club today for the first time since making his switch to the Red Devils.

United boss Amorim, who has struggled to find consistency with his side, is aiming to win back-to-back Premier League games for the first time following last weekend's victory over Chelsea.

But Mbeumo is convinced Amorim has the right mentality and approach to make United successful again.
