Sonal, Thaveesha shine for Maliyadeva

Sonal Ashvin and Thaveesha Balasooriya shone for Maliyadeva against Mahinda on day one of their Under 19 inter-school cricket encounter played at Kurunegala.

The pair's knocks helped Maliyadeva taking first lease of the wicket to make a score of 258 and Mahinda in their turn ended the day on 95 for 2.

Lakindu Fernando cracked 151 for Piliyandala Central to make a score of 284 against Zahira Colombo who ended the day on 71 for 3. The matches will be continued today.
