'Plan for Change 2030' towards a more sustainable apparel industry

South Asia's largest apparel-tech conglomerate, MAS Holdings, launched its Plan for Change 2030 at a special event held at Cinnamon Life, Colombo recently.
The launch marks an important new chapter in the company's sustainability journey, outlining an ambitious roadmap to reshape the future of apparel through measurable commitments across Product, Lives, and Planet.
The event featured a keynote address by Brooke Roberts-Islam, a London-based journalist, author, consultant, and sustainability advocate - who covers innovation for Forbes and Business of Fashion.
Brooke also moderated a thought-provoking panel discussion featuring Supun Weerasinghe, Group Chief Executive Officer, Dialog Axiata PLC; Shay Sethi, CEO and Co-founder, Ambercycle; Nemanthie Kooragamage, Director - Group Sustainable Business at MAS Holdings; and Takafumi Kadono, Country Director Asian Development Bank.
In her address, Brooke spoke of the vitality of leadership in driving sustainability, while the panel explored the real opportunities and pitfalls of executing sustainability strategies in the business world, sharing insights and learnings from each sector.
