Subasingha sets alight Major Clubs T20 with 27-ball 72

FORMER Wesley College all-rounder Movin Subasingha plundered 72 off 27 balls which included 29 runs off one over from Ashen Bandara that took him to his 50 off 22 balls to give BRC a winning start at the Colts grounds where they beat Police SC by 66 runs yesterday.
BRC were somewhat in the doldrums after losing their first seven wickets for 118 by the 16th over. It was then that Subasingha who has a strike rate of 152 in T20 matches took control of the innings smashing the ball to all parts of the ground collecting 7 sixes and 4 fours to enable BRC post a competitive total of 160.
When it came for Police SC's turn to bat their batsmen fumbled against the left-arm spin of Shashika Dulshan (4/20) and succumbed for 94 with Bandara being their top scorer with 37.
