Shaping future of finance: ACCA Sri Lanka welcomes newest members

THE Association of Chartered Certified Accountants of Sri Lanka (ACCA Sri Lanka) recently hosted its much-anticipated New Members Ceremony 2025. This annual flagship event marked a significant milestone for aspiring finance professionals who successfully completed their journey to becoming members of the ACCA, one of the world's most respected global accountancy bodies.

The prestigious event was graced by Finance and Planning Deputy Minister Dr. Harshana Suriyapperuma, a distinguished ACCA member himself. In an inspiring keynote address, he reflected on his personal journey within the profession and spoke of the immense pride in wearing the ACCA pin. He reminded the new members of both the responsibility and privilege that come with joining this esteemed global community.
The evening commenced with a warm welcome by Member Network Panel (MNP) Chairman and Lanka Hospitals Corporation PLC Group Managing Director Chaaminda Kumarasiri, who lauded the hard work and resilience of the new members and recognised their role in shaping the future of the accounting profession.
