NSBM Green University Founding Vice Chancellor Prof. E.A. Weerasinghe was honoured as Most Visionary Leader - 2025 at the Sri Lankan Entrepreneur of the Year (SLEOTY) Awards 2025 by the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Sri Lanka (FCCISL).

Prof. Weerasinghe was also conferred two Gold Awards for NSBM Green University: Gold Award in the National Extra-Large Category and Gold Award in the Western Province Extra-Large Category.
