Nishantha Jayaweera sworn in as Member of Parliament

REPRESENTING the National People’s Power (NPP), Nishantha Jayaweera yesterday was sworn in as a Member of the 10th Parliament before Speaker of the House Dr. Jagath Wickramaratne.

Following the swearing-in before the Speaker, Jayaweera signed the Member Roll in the presence of Secretary General of Parliament Kushani Rohanadeera.
Jayaweera was appointed as a National List Member of Parliament representing the NPP to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of former Deputy Minister Dr. Harshana Suriyapperuma, who had been appointed to the 10th Parliament from the National List.
