Widow, 79, reunited with her stolen dog after three years

A PENSIONER has been reunited with her beloved sausage dog more than three years after he was stolen.

Widow Sue Johnson’s dachshund Archie was taken from her car near her home when he was just 14 weeks old.

Two months later, her husband of 54 years Elwyn died from cancer. Mrs Johnson, 79, all but gave up hope of seeing Archie again and got another dog called Freddie.

She launched a nationwide appeal for help but did not think he would ever be found after the theft in April 2022.

However, the OAP, of Enmore, Somerset, was overwhelmed when Archie was discovered 70 miles away in Salisbury, Wiltshire.
