White criminals 'more likely to be jailed than ethnic minority offenders'

NEW guidelines mean white criminals are now more likely to be sent to jail than ethnic minority offenders, Robert Jenrick warns.

The Shadow Justice Secretary also accused the Sentencing Council of creating a “two-tier” justice system after the rules were sent to magistrates yesterday morning.

According to the guidelines, which have sparked outrage, criminals from ethnic, cultural or faith minority communities and those who say they are “transgender” should be considered for pre-sentence reports.
