Weed like to be better gardeners

LEAVING weeds for too long is the most common gardening gaffe - and most adults would like to learn more about the hobby.

Underwatering and overwatering were the next two most frequent horticultural howlers, a poll found. Ignoring fallen leaves was also in the top five blunders.

The poll of 2,000 adults revealed other common mistakes include planting in areas with insufficient light, forgetting to water hanging baskets and incorrect pruning.
