Ant and Dec send cautious traveller Stephen Mulhern on a life-changing Korean adventure

- WORDS: JO BERRY

Stephen Mulhern takes a giant leap out of his comfort zone by travelling to South Korea in the new show Accidental Tourist.

The In For A Penny host admits that he eats only traditional British meals and prefers holidays in the UK, so he enlisted the help of pals Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly to encourage him to travel further afield and explore new cultures and food.

"I'm so used to going to places in the UK," he says. "The furthest I've been on holiday is Florida, Portugal and Ireland. It was an eyeopener for me to be in Korea and it's going to be an eyeopener for the viewers to see me in Korea."

Ant and Dec were quick to say yes when Stephen asked them to help him plan the trip. "Those who know Stephen won't be surprised, he's never drank coffee, eaten a curry and up until recently never eaten ham! So when he asked us to help him broaden his horizons, we jumped at the chance," says Ant, 50.
